I finally got a pair.  Got 'em used so the evo's not mine just yet.  They've had one soapy soak and mild wash:

After about 6 weeks of wear, the first signs of colour loss are appearing.

More importantly, these have now become a very comfortable pair of jeans. There were times when I wondered if I had fucked up with these, because in the early days I couldn't wear them for more than 1 day at a time. Persistence is paying off big-time as the denim softens and conforms to my shape.
