I'm a 35 waist and these are 36.5. If I was buying these, I'd get a 34 and stretch it. They feel light on my legs too. (light meaning the actual weight of the fabric). These are awesome on many levels. The paraffin is not noticeable at all, they feel like super soft 21oz, that's it, no stiffness. After one wash the paraffin still works great too.

Here are the measurements when they were new. I'm sure they have stretched out more now as well.

Waist: 18.25in
Front Rise: 11.75in
Rear Rise: 15.5in
Thigh: 13.75in
Inseam: 36.5in
Hem: 9.75in

If you want to try and wear a possible 37in waist then of course you can join in. They seem like they might be 2-3in larger than your normal waist size though.
