Looks pretty fine–the trip stitching, the run-off, etc. For the coin, I would probably like to see a split yoke though, or know why one is not in place. Also, from the photos, the placket looks fold-over, not separately sewn on, but I cannot be sure--again, for the money, it should be explained clearly. Are the buttons plastic? Resin? I would like to know...How are they stitched on?  As everything is done in Japan, I imagine that it is all top-tier, but I would like to know these details to know for sure that I am getting the quality that I am paying for and also to have fun with the shirt and explain the quality to my friends...

I would like to see this kind of detail on the descriptions...basically regarding every element of the shirt--written in terms of benefits to the wearer, not simply a list of details. ("Features tell, benefits sell!" Dude!)  EG, 10oz selvage mock twist chambray sounds interesting and top-tier, but I am forced to google the term to find out what it is, and why it is used on this shirt...what makes it so great, etc.

Anyway, maybe I am just being grouchy.

Based on my limited knowledge, split yoke does nothing to the shirt.  Although there maybe a legitimate function, I don't think it would be particularly useful on a work shirt.  Granted you may see a split yoke or placket sewn separately on a fine dress shirt (e.g. Charvet), you are not likely going to see them on a IH shirt, but never say never!  Finally, remember many IH buyers ride motorcycles (at least in Japan).  I, IMHO, personally don't think they really care about what goes on a shirt/a pair of jeans that much unless it really bothers them.  For example, the buttons on the old 9634 (super black jeans) really bothered a rider when he leans toward the gas tank while riding a motorcycle.  H (the Boss) took that into consideration and hence a new model with zipper 9634Z.

Thank you for your input.  Here is the issue we face, many of our customers don't bother reading descriptions and if they do, they glance over them.  If we make the descriptions too wordy, then important points may get missed.  It is the same with posts on the forum, long essays tend to get ignored, short sharp posts get attention.  Personally I love detail, but I hate websites that have a few pictures and reams of text, I think the aesthetic looks messy, so we have deliberately kept the descriptions on the site brief, but we link from the product page to the relevant forum thread, so that those people who need the extra info, can find it or ask questions.

quick question.  How do these chambray shirts wear and fade?  Im not looking for contrasty fades or anything, but I did some light cleaning with a wash cloth and noticed some color transfer from the light abrasion.  Do they develop any contrast?  Or do they just get lighter/more work in as they age?

Who can tell me the difference in the feel between this and the IHSH-21?  And thickness/texture ?

Similar weight and thickness, but the 46 is super soft compared to the 21…..
