Kind of interesting, seems to use a lot of body english to move the weight around, which is the exact opposite of weight lifting where you're supposed to really control the weight and minimize your movements

yep, in giriya sports one uses whole bodypower to lift the weight. The arm holding the weight does almost nothing. That's pretty much it's quite comprehensive and works out whole body. Correct breathing is also important. Plus several small details.

Hit me a PM if you have questions, I'll try to find an answer as I'm just a noob in this also.

Are there any special considerations to take when washing IH duck?

I normally just throw my jeans in the machine and don't care, but I seem to remember someone having mixed results when washing something made from duck that way.  Can't seem to dig up the posts I'm thinking of either…

^ Earlier this year I ran through a super-simple kettlebell program my jiu jitsu instructor told me about. I've done lots of different types of training and programs over the years and I've never seen such an abrupt change in the shape of my body. Chest/shoulders broadening and muscle going on to my upper arms in a very short space of time.

Just be careful to get your technique right before really pushing yourself.

Haa, yeah. I meant to but kinda got distracted and just hit "submit". Sorry.  🙂

Basically, the whole program is just based on doing 60 snatches (per arm) 3-4 times a week. Like so:

                            Week 1: 6 x 10
                            Week 2: 4 x 15
                            Week 3: 3 x 20
                            Week 4: 2 x 30
                            Week 5: 1 x 45 and 1 x 15
                            Week 6: 1 x 60

Sets are done on alternating arms with no rest. That is, in week 1 you do 10 right then straight into 10 left and so on until you finish 60.

That's it. Super simple, super effective.

Hey guys, just wondering…is it true that unsanforized denim actually gets heavier when you do the initial soak? I've read, for instance, the 18oz denim on the 666S becomes 21oz when it gets soaked. Is that true? If so...how exactly does that happen? Any scientific reason, or is it just how it is? 😛

Fibres contract, causing the denim to shrink, become more dense, and therefore weigh more.

As Mega said, but as the shrinkage is only about 3% then 18*103% = 18.54 not 21

That doesn't mean your jeans will go from weighing, say, 1.3 kilos to weighing, say, 1.6 kilos.  The weight is based on a square yard of fabric, so when the denim contracts after soaking, it becomes more dense and weighs more than a square yard of the same fabric prior to soaking.

Your jeans are already cut and finished, so they don't get any heavier, just smaller and slightly thicker.
