      I think they might have sewn those in themselves, the numbering is pretty lame imo, any shop could buy 30 pairs of an extant item like the 634-S and start numbering them …

        You certainly are right. Definitely not something Haraki-San did.

              If you're using Chrome, run a Google search for the following:

              site:theaustralian.com.au ironheart

              Then right click on the link "Raised in Japan", and select the "Open Link in Incognito Window" option. That gets around the Australian's paywall. 😉

              You might be able to pull the same trick in Safari (haven't tried), as it's based on the same Webkit core.

                                    After the last question, we got distracted looking at various pairs and left for lunch! Hence the rather abrupt ending.

                                      What a wonderful piece. I really enjoyed it. It's amazing how connected things like this make consumers like me feel to the business/brand. It's such a rare phenomenon, and there are many lessons contained within. Thank you for posting that.
