Grandmasterben thank you very much for your comment, appreciated very much. yeah the boots are crazy, am very proud of them (Viberg x VMC edition for their 25th anni). yes I really do love my clothes they "saved" my life in a very own way but thats a different story. I just wear and enjoy without too much thinking of how I would look on the outside.

has anyone got one of the praire shirts?
they will be stocked in the UK again via peggs and son this autumn.
i'm wondering how they size up - i tend to size up with japanese but down with US sizes.
this is a japanese label working for a french man based in LA so all hell could break loose.

Anyone own the britches chaparral? Any fit pics or sizing advice?
Doesn't seem to be a very popular model, and there is not a lot of info on the web, but they look like an outstanding summer pant. I particularly like the 8oz indigo version. Had a chance to go hands on with them at a store the other day and the linen / canvas blend is pretty amazing.

and what for they use it ? is it just for some aesthetic or any function of that ?Originally used to insert removable 'collar stays', to keep collar points straight. Called 'col a baleine' in french because those stays were first made of whale 'bones'.
An 'Apache' trick was to stitch razor blades on the inside of their coat collars, to prevent being grabbed by the collar in street fights.
With shirting, sticking a blade in those concealed indigo popeline bags might have been an option…
The white bias tape loops are designed to hold the scarf.
