One of my roommates moved out today to head to Maine for the rest of the summer. We grabbed lunch at the Traveler's Club, a local bar/ tuba museum, on her way out of town…
The walls are lined with old tuba's and sousaphones
Had myself a patty melt and a Short's Brewery Humalupalicious. Super Hoppy, super tastey…
After I took off the WT's for a bit and went out to Grand Ledge to be taught how to rock climb by one of my other roommates.
Headin out to the ledges…
At the bottom of the ledges…
Climbers already there…
Makin my way up…
Getting closer…
My roommate Aaron tackling some much harder stuff…
and conquering it…
Put the WT's back on and now I'm enjoying a nice beer, a yoyo, and Lord of the Rings before heading back out on the town…

@501/IH:
Hooray! Feels exciting to see it finalised.
Can I repeat my appeal for the unknown May 2013 leg host to turn up in Berlin for a hand-over? You'd be coming to the German capital at one of the best times in the entire year!
I could do that I guess
I may spend two weeks holiday in Israel in may, soak that jeans in dead sea water, rub it on Golgatha, stuff like that.

This might (will) sound quite sad but, which edition of The Lord of the Rings is that??

It's from the 6th impression (1978) of the Allen and Unwin De luxe edition (1969). It used to be my Dad's copy until he gave it to me however many years ago. It's a beautiful book. It contains the whole tail, appendices, some large fold out maps, and still only measures about an inch thick. Not to mention the binding and cover are just gorgeous.
I'm currently trying to track down a matching copy of The Hobbit…
As for the WT...
Spent most of my Sunday out at one of the local pools that's easy to sneak into...
and that's about it. After rock climbing a truly lazy Sunday was just what I needed…

Emcee, you need to give HOT DOUGS a try. The best dog I've ever had. Doug is a super cool guy who was at the forefront against Chicago's war on foie gras.
Hot Doug's has been on my list for a while. Last few times I've been in Chicago I haven't had the time to make it out there. If I make it out this summer Hot Doug's will be a definite stop. Just the idea of that foie gras dog has me all hot and bothered…
and thanks DD!
Plans for the weekend have been decided too. Colorado and the U.P. were both just tossed out the window (for the time being anyway). I'm headed to Ephraim, WI to visit a friend. It's supposed to be one of the nicest areas on that side of Lake Michigan...
