Expect to see easier access to Flat Head in Europe.  That said, you'll likely to see less hard connection between me and TFH as I need to "distance" myself a little, to allow them to grow without causing me a conflict of interest…..

This sounds good.  But they really need to rethink about the sizing issues for the bigger bone brothers!

So I just picked up a pair of 3009's in size 32 from Tate+Yoko. after multiple measurements using the self edge method the waist on these is 30" - raw and fresh out of the mail.  Needless to say they can never touch water or i will never fit into them.  What gives flat head?

Must be this current run because the pair I bought a few years ago measured 1inch over tag

I picked up a pair a few months back tagged 36 and they come in just under 35. Might have stretched a bit cause I've worn MAYBE 5 times, I do like them but they are a wee bit tight for sure. Into the closet they go till I drop about twenty or so I guess.

Anyone ever have luck soaking unsanforized denim from the pockets down to minimize waist shrinkage?  Trying to think about a way around this other than returning them

Return them. Trust me, it's not worth the inevitable disappointment.

Anyone have an issue with the wide shoulders on FH shirts? I've wanted to pick one up but the shoulder measurements always scare me off.

The fabrics are just cool as shit.

not really. the cut on TFH vs IH is different, its more the slim gut on TFH stuff that can get you, some of the westerns reallly taper

Well guys luckily I was able to make these work - soaked them and wore them while damp, stretched them enough that I can tolerate the tightness at the waist.  My original angst with these wasn't that they didn't fit as much as the tagged size and measurements on both self edge and dc4 was 2-3 inches off of what I received.  I understand the handmade variations in size but that's just excessive IMO.

SE is definitely off. DC4 reflects the measurements a bit more accurately. I was speaking to Alex at T+Y last week and he even brought up in our conversation the discrepancy between the indicated measurements and the actual. Which is why I was surprised he made them available for sale without having first provided their own table of measurements.

won't tate take them back? I mean if they're not measuring their own product and they're using someone else's size tables and they won't stand behind the numbers they post I'd throw a fit. they ought to cover return shipping and exchange for a proper pair if it's so far off
