I wore through the crotch and need to get it fixed before it turns into something larger. Likely going to asked to have them patched as the entire area is getting pretty thin. also want some stitching reinforced.

ehh, it happens man, i use them primarily to work in and it happened in 130 wears.

umm… 4 and some change. but you should be aware that simply wearing the jeans does little, and that abrasion comes from what you actively do in them. it feels to me that you are taken aback by the amount of time i wore them in relation to needing repairs; you should not feel discouraged, they are great jeans, but i work hard in them and thus they need attention sooner rather than later.

1 year worn 3-4 days per week to the office no wear what so ever just nice fades.

Without wanting to be rude, crotch blow outs are also a function of the shape of your thighs. If your upper thighs touch then when you walk you will be abrading this area, and with a thicker denim this abrasion will be increased. Mine don't touch and have never had a crotch blowout….
