IH-634S-B - 21oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Overdyed Indigo

Hey guys.  I'm new to this forum and have decided on the IH-634S-B as my first pair of IH's.  With that being said I wanted to get everyone's opinion on what waist size I should go for.  I measure out typically a 34" waist.  I'm stuck on wether I should go for the 33" for stretch reasons or stick with a 34"?  Was curious to know how sizing has worked out for people who have gotten these.

33 this denim stretches a lot. I also found my 634sb to be slightly bigger then my 634s.

Thanks for your input derivative666.  As you can probably see my concern on the matter.  These are rather expensive jeans so I'm trying to get the right size on the first try.

Thanks dude.  Does everyone else agree with derivative666 that the 634S-B's are slightly bigger than the 634S?

I think it might depend on the batch, I would wait for Giles to get these in and make sure measurements are consistent.

The denim will stretch, what to you want the waist to end up at, after stretch?

Anything close to a 34" waist after stretch would be great.

The 21oz denim has been known to stretch up to 2.00" in the waist. Send Urbanwoodsman a PM he is the master of stretch.

When you chain-stitch to a shorter length on the OD's do you do anything different to the thread?  As in, does it look odd with a bright new hem?  A strange question I'm sure but randomly popped into my mind today.

I'a a little blurred, recently, so only now I understand…
But with a pair arriving and two others that are already here, I could choose between 3, if it were possible!

@JCar2666: don't worry, I already have a few hemmed jeans from G, and I'm going to have another one! The downside of hemmed jeans is that you can't change or return them if you fail the size.
