Yea, I mean buying a nice belgian in a restaurant in Philadelphia was at least $8.

Buying a low end bottle of Chimay….I have to pay at least 7 CAD for that at my local place now.

Out with the new! In with the old!

Oh: I was, however, wondering how much y'all pay in a store… Most of the stuff I drink is most def not available in a restaurant either, unfortunately...

well, regular finnish lager in ½ liter can or a pint can is usually something around 2,8-3,5€. My local shop doesn't have any belgians, but for example Spitfire ale is about 4,5€ a ½ liter bottle….

for anything over 4,5% you have to go to ALKO, which is finnish alcohol shop monopoly....I guess Duvel would be more than 6€ there....

3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek (old kriek). Sour as hell. Pretty much done with these old'uns… I don't care if they sweeten the standard Boon Kriek a bit, no fan of the "die-hard" stuff...  :-\

Tomorrow… Yep: it's already decided... This bottle doesn't have a label but has a wrapped paper with the info on it. Its name, Ondineke, refers to a character from a book by Louis-Paul Boon, of whom I'm a fan... Check the description... Just hàd to get it... Made in very limited quantities.

Got rid of the Kriek and opened a bottle of Duvel Triple Hop… These are made in very limited quantities every year I think. There's been talk of increasing production, we'll see.

This has nothing to do with how a Duvel tastes... This is a mix of champagne and beer. Quite unbelievable.
