I would probably go for a large in your case because I generally prefer to have a bit of chest room in my shirts.  The fabric is quite thick in this wabash and the internal "volume" is smaller I think.  Don't forget you can always do an exchange with G.

I own an 08SBG in size S that I don't wish to be any bigger. Should I size down one in this ?

They feel about the same in size, so you could stay with S or if you want a bit tighter you could go XS.

right that usual works, only thing I can remember was the try to wear the superblack vest over the 526J, the capability to move, was lets say limited

i guess i really love all the fucking iron heart, but this one certainly has gotten plenty of love. i dig the grey's in the wabash dot's, and the thickness is just thick enough for winter, but it works well under the melton and even better under the superblack vest!
