                  Got back from the wine dealer… This guy gave me two opened bottles for free as 'homework'... He had a little wine degustation yesterday and had them left... One's almost full... Sure thing, pal, I'll take 'm...  😃

                  Bought some new stock of wines I already knew, and three new ones to try...

                  13.45 €. They sell for 17-18 € normally. This should be really good.

                  Bourgogne made with Pinot Blanc grapes. Interesting. 9 €. Already chilled, as you see, about to try it  😉

                  Oh Enrico… You bastard son of a wine... I've tried your 2003, and now it's time for the final plunge... The '98... Truly unbelievable and epic Italian Piemonte wine...

                      Unbelievable white wine… Surpassed every expectation by a mile... Better than most white Chateauneuf-du-Papes and Chablis 1°er Crus... But lots cheaper...  😞

                          @urbanwoodsman- nice pick ups! the IHD-01 is awesome. wore it the first time today after soaking. it looked so good that I didn't wanna take it off even when I'm perspiring. 😃 gonna start wearing it again tomorrow if possible. 🙂

                            Over the years since we rebuilt the house and installed heating, some of the floor boards have shrunk.  Time to fix the gaps.  Decided to caulk them, much like the decks of wooden boats…..

                              ^i´m surprised that you use a "normal" rope to caulk them since i´ve never seen this before. actually i´ve never seen someone caulking their wooden floor!
                              is this the "right" way to do it?

                              i have the same floor in my room and some gaps between the different boards as well…that´s the reason i´m asking!

                                It is actually a jute rope I got specifically for the purpose (I bought 3 sizes).  I see no reason why it should not work - it works on boats…

                                  well i´ve never saw/heard of this method before, that´s why i´ve been asking my question. but if you say that it´s pretty common and used on boat decks as well…i thank you for your answer sir 😉

                                    Do you use anything to keep the rope in place, like glue?  I have a couple of bad spots in my living room floor and this looks cooler than the wood filler that the contractor recommended.

                                      I used wood filler, but it cracks and falls out over time.  No glue needed it, it just wedges in.  I found a video of how to do it a few years ago, let me take another look….

                                        Yeah, the previous owner of the house used wood filler, too.  After the driest year in Texas's recorded history, the cracks opened up some more and the wood filler disintegrated.

                                        I justed looked at the area again; some of the cracks are pretty narrow- maybe I'll try using some waxed linen thread I have lying around, just to experiment.
