correct
so the 5000 is wider (hem) as the 0500 if i read that right
Not according to BIG, the leg opening is the same in most sizes, and 0.5" larger in others for the 0500, which offers a wider overall fit through the leg than the 5000. Check for yourselves, honestly.
Also, my experience is that the same size 0500 fits wider than a 5000.

Maybe I'm too dumb but..
S5000VX
S0500XX
I don't see the leg opening of the S0500XX one single time bigger than the S5000VX…
yet the S0500XX you more room in the upper half...or above the knee. But I already said that
-
It might be a because of the higher rise of the S0500XX. So you can sag them and they feel wider on your body
-
you would think so, right?
But honestly, every person feels different about a fit. The pure figures can't always show you how it will feel on your body. -
My bad, I compared the first 5000 cut I saw, which was the 24oz… Seems to be different for some reason ?
-
yes, the fits differ with different denim (like IH too). At least BiG shows this. Samurai uses the same measurements for every release. That's why you should never rely on their official measuremensts

Thought someone may be interested. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Does anyone know if Samurai headquarters offer a service of repair in the same way like the good people of IHJP do?
-
Not having six legs, I'm not interested in Samurai's stuff, but I own both the Jin models, because I love "strange" blue jeans.
My favorite are the newer, S0110xJII. The color of these jeans is really amazing, lighter but intense, and I love the pockets and all the details of Jin model. The denim of S0110XJII is a LHT unslubby, the opposite of that of S0110XJ, king of slubbyness.
But Alex is right, the construction and finish are not comparable to the Iron Heart's standards we are used to.
