If the texture was like the old model I would have bought, but without loom chatter and a potentially pinkish color shade…
Rather considering a pair of S5000AI-OGSP.

I'm totally with you on that one (except for buying a S5000AI-OGSP instead and I don't think you should do it too).
The 17oz had a more interesting texture. But from my observation, it is quite common along the brands, the heavier the denim the regular the texture. Might be a reason, that the looms are already under a lot of pressure with the heavy denim and then weaving in 'failures' would be too much for the loom.

Funny you should mention that; I just had the same observation while discussing some upcoming releases with Gordon at BiG.  Makes me less interested in the heavier offerings from companies that really specialize in slubby, irregular denim.

You are quite late to the party 😉 We talked about it some posts ago. But I agree with you that the color on those pics isn't the best (or maybe it's really a shitty color). Let's wait how BiG captures the color.

oops, my bad, didnt catch the earlier posts. I fucking hate pink jeans, blue jeans are blue, period, with the exception of overdyed models… if not, they cant and should not be called jeans in my blue-jean-taliban opinion

^indeed they shouldn't be called jeans! jeans are meant to be made of denim. and denim is only denim if it is a twill weave with a blue warp and a white weft. so overdyed and all the colored weft jeans (which recently show up) aren't 'real' jeans.
but in the end…well...everyone has to decide on its own 🙂

just colored cotton twill pants 😃

Hi guys, can anyone tell me the model of the widest (straight leg) denim samurai produce? Also I need a hand with sizing, I'm a 32 waist and would like them to fit nicely after a soak obviously.

              Thanks in advance!

0500's are wider, 5000's are reasonably slim for Samurai. Trust me, I own(ed) both at the same time, I kept the 5000's as the 0500 were a little wide for my taste.

True to size in both the 0500 (wider) or the 5000's (slim straight). The 5000's are slimmer, but are far from a slim jean, they are my favourite cut of Samurai, very flattering in my opinion.

5000 has a lower rise and is slimmer in the top block and thighs but with a straight leg.
The 0500 is more generous in the upper half and tapers. So if you downsize a bit, the 0500 can achieve a slimmer look, because you have a slimmer overall sihouette. A 5000vx downsized too much can look kinda bootcut-esque

yeah, correct regarding the leg opening. but as Jord666 wanted the widest leg overall, I still stand by my suggestion of S510 or S3000VX 🙂

yes there are even wider ones but those are a bit more special and more repro pairs.
