That is way cool. Cleaver idea, is that ready bought or custom made?

I think Katsushin got it off from a very generous seamtress and he paid it forward to G.

It looks "craftsman" made.  Have you seem Kats use of one similar here:

WTF. I'm a huge classic Barbour fan and I even like the Tokito line minus the added cost, but WTF is that. I'll stick with my Beaufort, thanks.

So when is IH gonna start making waxed cotton blazers?

Currently requesting quotes from the cream of UK cobblers, and boot restorers to do something with my Whites SD's. I have sent an email to the 10 most highly recommended cobblers in the UK, with pics of my boots, and pics of what I want doing to them, interested to see what they come back with.

Failing that, I'll just ship them to Whites, have my arm ripped off by the postage costs and customs, but enjoy a great quality, relatively cheap resole  😠

That's pretty decent… But with shipping back and forth it'll be more like 150$, won't it? I'm curious as to what the UK cobblers charge. Keep us posted!

I certainly will, I've asked for a double leather midsole, with a vibram composition half sole too. I don't think it should be a huge task to bond the extra leather to the existing leather, then stitch the half sole onto that, not for a good quality cobbler at least.

I've sent pictures of my boots as they currently are, along with pictures of what I would want doing. I'll let you know what feedback I get, and from who.

This is a paradox (not sure if this is the right word) that always border me:  In North America, we need to look for a competent cobbler for British made shoes.  The British made some of the best shoes in the world, but I will never bring them to any street corner cobblers in NA just to get them fixed / resole.
