Yeah they do - but I'm not on SuFu except for the IH, FH and Samurai thread… Anyhow: I think it's a brand that will be loved by lotsa folks in the (near) future... And I'm definitely in the need of one of them pairs, cause it's a brand I'm truly excited about but have no first-hand experience... Anyone knowledgeable: if I want a high rise, slim legged, mid-weight (14-17 oz) pair, which'un should I look into?..

          Cheers Lando.

            Yeah, they look redundant..
Might visit the SESF soon, it's been awhile. I'm guessing these are hot though and I might not be fast enough to see them in person.

seul, the SG denim is interesting, super slubby, I don't think anything self edge sells would fit your liking, the models they carry tend toward low rise, you'd probably have to look to japan to find other models

                      Seul,  I'd take a look at the 2103.  http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/klax-on/item/sg2103/

It would seem they do make a higher rise jean…

I think the only high rise ones are the ones that end with 03, but they're pretty loose. They only have 5 fits, and they end. the ones that end with 01 are pretty loose but not very high rise, 03 is loose and high rise, 05 is slim straight , 07 is bootcut and 09 is slim tapered. So if the 05 and 09 are too low, then you're out of luck

Yeah, they don't really make a higher rise slim-ish jean.
The 1105 and 2105 isn't exactly low rise, it's just not as high as most other Japanese jeans.  For some reason the rise on the 2xxx series denim feels higher, at least on my pairs.

Never really liked the Strike Gold arcs.  My personal favorites are the stripes on the Momotaro GTB series.

Let's see, right off the top of my head- Oni is ok, not great; SdA looks like it was done by a six year old; Samurai is ok, though clearly pushing the limit on how close to Levis they can get without getting sued again; Evisu is good; Imperial is a tad excessive, but not bad; Triple Works is pretty good; and of course, Iron Heart is excellent.

The Momotaro GTB stripes look good, but they don't suit me. I prefer the understated look of no pocket arcs (less is more!), but of the brands that have them my favourites is Iron Heart - strong and masculine without being over-the-top.

Of course Levi's is an undeniable classic, and I'm warming to the Strike Gold design (perhaps swayed by the awesome quality of the jeans?). RJB is ok too.

Agree with your comments about SdA (ha ha!), Samurai and Imperial. The Flat Head half-arcs look good but unfortunately they don't use them on many models. The full FH design is a bit much for me, as it the boldness of Evisu.

totally agree with you. levi's are undeniably a classic. flat head arcs are dope, but they need to place them on all their jeans…. and my favorite..... iron heart of course. something about the red w on the side rear pocket. it's like hot fudge on a sunday.

Samuel (Cotton Duck) & I designed that wallet to leave a Levi's-like arcuate in your back pocket after some wear.
