The 27 seems to get all the love around here so I am wearing my 33 all day to balance that out. One Wash! 😉

Actually the 27 has got little wear here because the postsoak fit was tight… If you look at the measurements pre-soak, they're actually that of a standard shirt... So a pre-soak medium equals a random medium, and goes in between S and M after a soak... Might have to look into getting a 33, have the buttons pimped, or get a 45 in size L... Def need a denim shirt... Everyone does...  🙂

          Hey Everyone:

Quick question on this shirt.  Has anyone experienced any stretching on the shirt, especially the chest/arms/shoulders area?  I'm deciding between L and XL, but for this guy I think I want to go L and see if I can get some stretching involved.  I'm a pretty thin in the waist, but I work out often so I have a wide shoulder and chest.  Kind of want this shirt to be more on the slimmer side.  Any help or insight will be greatly appreciated.  I want to take advantage of the winter sale.  Thanks everyone!

no really if you say you workout often and you now asking for stretch and all that, i don´t think you´d like your shirt to be too small in a few weeks/months.
you can always hotsoak/hotwash/hotdry the shit out of that XL if it´s too big!

Follow finn's advice. I only weigh 175lbs and am 6'2" and took an XL.

but watch out mate…some of us had problems with working out and rocking great gear:

It has a very minor repair to the back inside center lining after I flexed my Latissimus Dorsi muscles too hard causing the stitching to come undone.

                    😉

I went XL in the 45, and would do XL in this.  If it gets a little tight just change your work out, go lower weight, high intensity, high rep then throw in some cardio and get tone. instead of bulky.  I am 6'1 and I was 194 12% body fat, now I am 183 9% to 10% body fat and my IH gear fits much better…

                        Now, I have an IRONHEART!!

hey guys looking for some advice here.

                          my favourite shirt measures:
                          shoulders: 16in
                          length: 26.5in
                          chest: 20.5in
                          arm: 24.5in

this shirt is fitted, not too tight and not too loose.  i'm stuck between a XS and a S. what size do you guys think i should be getting?

Thanks for the workout advice TinMan.  I actually need to do the opposite.  I'm doing mad cardio and body weight exercises now.  I need to bulk up.  My best friend just moved into a place w/ a 24 hr gym.  So we have high hopes for that.  As for the shirt.  I AM AMAZED.  I have the 16ss and the 01od to compare it to.  This shirt seems lighter weight than the 16ss.  The 33 is just so damn soft and comfortable that its like luxurious work shirt. Giles… gotta hand it to you.  Your company converted me from every other denim manufacturer.  Keep doing what you're doing.  I'll post fit pics tomorrow!

There will be a tiny bit, but it has had a hot soak already….....

Good to hear. Quick question: how are the sleeve openings on the 16 s/s?.. Wide?..

Hello, it's my my first post and my first IH item. The shirt is amazing and I love the quality, i think i'm already hooked.
I don't know if I should soak it? I feel that it's a bit too wide in the chest area but the length of the sleeve and the length of the shirt is good. Here's the fit picks. It's a size L.

What should I do? Hot soak, Lukewarm soak, cold soak, no soak?

                                      Thanks

Already shrank, soak will make minimal difference. Fit looks good from here but you gotta be happy with it. If its not what you want exchange for a size smaller.

I think you'd be ok going a size smaller.. I wear L in most IH shirts, and could still fit a medium in this model..

Hey Suel.  They are a bit wide.  I got an XL for the size.  The shoulders and body fit me great, but the sleeves are actually a bit long and wide.  I cuffed my sleeves on that shirt actually, I'm not sure if that's kosher w/ anything, but I did it anyway.  I'm more into the roomier fits for my IH shirts.
