For some odd reason this fella begs you to buy a certain "Seul" from the IH forum (is that where Nemesisnow1200 resides?) a, and this is the tricky part, Wabash (?) shirt in size M…

Hope this makes sense to you!..

This question is probably for Giles:

With my ihsh-08ss, I have worn through a part of the stitching on the hem on the inside front of the shirt (the part that touches my jeans).  Some threads on the hem around this area are now beginning to come loose on the outside of the shirt (We're only talking 4-5 stitches, so not the whole hem).

I have not washed this shirt yet.  With my SR's, it is recommended to wash so that the constructional stitches can "bed-in".  Does this same phenomenon apply to sanforized clothing?  If I wash my 08, will the stitches be less likely to shred or fray?  Or is my situation simply due to the nature of heavyweight fabric (its beginning to happen with my ihsh-34 as well)?

It just sucks that I'm going to have to get a tailor to re-hem the shirt eventually.  And what's worse is that the chainstitches on the inside near the armpits are weakening and beginning to loosen.  I was looking at one of my dad's twenty year old Timberland chambray shirts that has been washed maybe a hundred times, and there is not a single shredded stitch.  😠

You can bet your ass they will go on sale just like everything else in that store. I would wait to grab them if I were you. Surely come Spring, the price will drop.

To a great extent this is due to the stiffness of the denim, it make the stitching sit proud.  Personally I would just get it run over by a local tailor, it won't harm the looks of the shirt at all….

In the absence of the 666-xhs, and with the upcoming "Give-Giles-The-Rest-Of-Your-Money" Sale, my next question is:

                                    634S-B or 634XHS?

Similar measurements (28W), similar detailing (no selvedge fly, no belt loops in waistband, no lined pockets), similar status (Extant), different denim. But how different?

What would you do if you could only choose one?  I'm leanin' towards the 634S-B…

Not really a fan of overdye, so it's an easy choice.  Besides, the 25 oz denim is more unique & interesting.
