hi….this is my 1st post....i intend to get myself my first iron heart and i think i should start with 634S...i normally wear W34 Levis Vintage Clothing, Evisu, Nudie, Japan Blue (however some cuts i size down by 2).

So what size should i get? my TTS is 34inch or 89.5cm?

Will this shrink or expand since this is sanforized? if yes how much will it shrink or expand? also what is the standard length 34L or 35L?

If your current jeans measure 34, I would go with 33, you'll get an inch or so stretch with wear.  Inseam is 35.1 as per the sizing chart on the web site

No sir. My IH 634S are W 30, my other jeans 30 or 31, so I merely chose the tighter of my usual two sizes.

When I said downsizing 2 I related to the respective fit pic. This looked so loose to me that I would have sized down 2.

Giles recommends downsizing 1, I understand.

Keep your jeans on–-and let nothing come in between you and the denim !

Client of mine came in today with a fairly new pair of 634s that I encouraged him to get, so I grabbed a quick comparison shot.  I had totally forgotten what they looked and felt like new.  Can't believe it's time to start over soon when the raws come out…

I just got a pair of IH-634s and they are ball-bustingly tight in the crotch.  They were 31Wx34L hemmed down to 33L.  I normally wear 32W TTS, but the guy at Self Edge SF said I should size down to 31W.  Otherwise I think they fit well everywhere else… How's this look?

Excuse the pose…it's an in-joke (maybe someone will get the reference.)

Your jeans don't look too long to me.  You can always cuff them one inch and show off the selvedge, but from the look of it you might not even need to do that.

you saying that i dont need to initial soak it or literally no need to soak it ever? and if i decide to wash it later in the journey, how much will it shrink and whats best between cold wash and hot wash for these? and pardon me if i'm a little captious  🙂

trust me its longer than you might see it haha..

none the less i love how it feels cause it soooo comfortable, but the only thing is i keep seeing it in a 'bigger-than-my-usual-fit' way.. or is it only cause its my first pair of straight cut jeans?

No need for an initial soak. Shrinkage is minimal. When you do decide to wash, just check here:
