Why do people think there are no driving rules in a parking lot? Pedestrian crossings, stop signs, lanes, speed limits; do they no longer apply, or am I just being foolish?
-
I've been pulled over in the parking lot of a Veterans Hospital before. The officer was quick to point out that I was on federal property and if he were to give me a ticket I would go to federal court. I exited a section of the lot going the wrong direction. And it was a god damn Sunday morning in an emtpy parking lot, I was tired after working a 36 hour shift. Guy was an asshole.

That is pretty dickish.
On the other hand, I nearly got steamrolled by some douche in an F-250 who a) ran a stop sign to b) make an illegal left into c) a one way lane. I would have welcomed a little overzealous parking enforcement.

anyone heard of Taylor Stitch? they have a few shirts that are okay looking (on the internet)

folks at tellason put me on to them when i had the nerve to send them an email talking about the questionable (imho) design of one of their shirts

another random question.
what is the big deal with loopwheeled items? i really don't think they are that soft or warm in comparison to many newer fabrics. now the way items are flatseamed sewned seems to make a big difference in comfort, but loopwheeled or not i have a Nautica sweat suit from over ten years ago that is soo much more comfortable then any loopwheeled item i have. just the design of the Nautica sweat suit isn't that flattering
guess this is kind of a rant as well, oh well need space to get off my bull$hit

Just checked this stuff out. I might try them out once I am done spending money on this move, as I need some new clothes for work. Nice find Monday!

Something about "Made from the hide of an old bull" and "100 Year Warranty" just makes me laugh.

Can't speak for the belt but I've got one of their wallets which is aging beautifully, there's a pic in the Saddleback thread.

The Chamois look great for spring/summer wear here in the west coast. Thanks for sharing MadMonday

the folks over there are also very responsive. i sent them an email about some items that are out of stock & they got back to me within the hour with a rough guesstimate on when they will be replenishing their stock. now if the product is good i might be able to ge behind these guys.

Left inner thigh on my 634s. The denim is being stretched. Should I wait on this or should this be repaired?
-
Thanks G sending them into SENY for repair.

I'm sending my nice new Fidelity by Gerald & Stewart Peacoat (US Navy issue) back because the stitching is crap. The lining in one of the pockets has started to go and one of the main buttons is coming undone. I could have them repaired, but I've only had the coat two weeks so it's a fail in my book.
Any advice on a suitable alternate? I hear the Schott NYC version is ok, but I've never had anything of theirs.
-
The proper Schott peacoats are great, but there are lots of versions. The most commonly available version in Europe is made from wool/ viscose, and is not very nice at all as it is very itchy and feels cheap. The US made version is great, 100% wool, quite soft, and very warm, if you can find one reasonably priced then they are certainly worth a purchase.
One word of warning, they size MASSIVE, check measurements before you buy closely.
This is the good version….

There's even a chap there called peacoat who seems very knowledgeable.
