if you're in Bern around this time in 2012, you HAVE TO visit the "Zwibelimärit" (dt.:zwiebelmarkt, eng.:onion market)…
it's one of the highlights of the year. and all the swiss people are going crazy
it starts around 5am...everyone's on the streets, having some vino and some beer, eating just that good stuff and copping all different sorts of onions and other stuff (clothing, shoes, etc.).
the official part, the market, ends around 2-3pm and after that the whole city is just one big party, the pups are almost exploding and it ends somewhere in the next morning.so thanks to that i only had 5hours of (not so good) sleep, already working 2hours and having a nice little headache and am feeling like shit...
but i would def. do it again, next year

Just got a USN Pea Coat (Fidelity by Gerald & Stewart) via Silverman's (no affiliation). It's awesome, and made in the USA which is a plus. No idea what the general opinion of them, Pea coats or issue gear is, but I'm very pleased! And it didn't break the bank…
