When standing they look to be allright, but they rise as you describe due to rigidness of the fabric. If you hem them to correct lenght I suspect the same will happen.
Use them a bit more, and try to soften the legs of jeans from knee down. Especially the hem area and few inches up. How to do this….dunno. I think you can figure it out.
This is the best I can think of.
(my jeans do the same, even my most worn 461)

Yeah I'll give 'm some time to soften up… The bunching up around the knee is also a pet peeve, hoping that will soften up and flat out as well... Will just have to buy a new pair of boots and only wear my Grensons and whatever my final decision will be for a black pair...
Thanks for the input, lads!..

I don't really like engineers, injun, never was into the model… You'd be surprised at how thinner, more "female" boots as you'd say it, are still really incredibly sturdy if they're decent quality!.. My Grensons?.. Hell: if they were a woman, I'd be in jail for battery and assault… You can throw anything at them, except for snow... Hence me going for a commando sole...

These are definitely better, soles look very rugged and dependable.
