Mega, jacket looks awesome on you man! I did a little back search  but did not find what size you went with. If you wouldn't mind could you put that info up, as well as your normal IH shirt size. One more question, have you tried it on with say one of the heavyweight flannels or a nice thick sweater underneath? Thanks in advance for your response.

Hey Z, I went with XXL, which is my regular shirt size. I've tried it with a 33, and with the forum hoody, it was difficult to move my arms but the fit was fine  😉

Thanks Pete, the forearms are reasonably fitted, but not so bad that you can't layer under it if required, just about perfect for me.

The one problem I do have with it, is that it is so warm that I would hate to know how cold the weather would have to get to put a hoody or flannel under it  :-\

I don't want to be the pain in the ass here. I really like the jacket on you, mega, but I think (just by looking at the shoulders and the sleeve length) that you could have sized down one. Of course i can't judge how you feel in it and I also like my jackets rather loose than to tight, but still I think so. Don't hate me  😉

I would say this will tackle a heavy European winter as well as just about anything (without being silly and buying a Canada Goose or similar), especially after a simple waterproof treatment. I wouldn't size down personally because I like the fit, and I still have some room to layer if required, plus (just like Monday) I don't dig the smedium fit of any item of clothing, I'm too old for that  😉

Seriously, if you're on the fence, don't be. This is an epic coat, and destined to be a future classic from Iron Heart.

I like the fit, and genuinely feel comfortable in it. I sometimes have an awkward time getting a perfect fit, as my hips are quite wide, and my shoulders quite narrow, which makes this XXL feel quite tight at the bottom but a bit loose in the shoulders. Had I sized down it would have been too tight at the bottom, causing it to ride up when I wore it, and that would have got really annoying.

We all know our own body shapes, and getting the"perfect" fit can be tougher for some than others, sometimes impossible.

It surely is and I would also love to have one. But all this stuff that came out lately and will yet come out makes it so hard. In any case you got one helluva jacket.

that's a good point Flo…should i get 1-2 great items or just 1 that stands all over the others?
that's always a question i'll have to answer for myself before copping. this time i've chosen to get that one item and hopefully hopefully hopefully i've ordered the correct size and will be happy with it in the end.

TBH, my opinion changes daily or, to be more precise, I have decided that I am ridicule on bottoms, as I love worn in jeans and don't want just to collect raw denim. But with the tops, i like to have a variety and be able to combine a lot. So, the one and only item is only valid for my jeans. But I see the point in jackets - get one that you really love and spend some money on it is a good thing. But who knows what H. puts out next year? Will we be able to withstand? Just a rhetorical question…

My opinion actually changes from minute to minute (when it comes to some parts atleast!) 😛
But i know what you mean, it's the same with me actually since u know i just own 2 pairs of jeans which i constantly wear (666Sod, Samurai S0500)…So that's also the reason i've bought a few IH tops in the last few months and didn't even thought about a new pair of denim.
But to be more precise on "the one and only item"...I was referring to "the one and only item" from this years f/w collection. who knows what 2012 will bring 😛
And yeah, i rater spend a bit more on a jacket i know i'll be wearing not just this winter, then copping 3-4 jackets and not being happy about them, like i am with the "one and only"...hope this sentence makes any kinda sence 😛
