Out of curiosity, why did you proxy from BAS? They do direct international shipping.

I've seen different qualities with S0110XJ between Lot 10 and later ones - I went for Lot 10 because of that.
A comparison to XJ-II is obsolete as it has almost entirely different weft properties…

I think the older lots are all gone, there's still some on rakuten that don't indicate they're the latter II denim but I would suspect they are yes?

my BB-ODs do not really fit well anymore due to losing 15 lbs.  Will be getting a pair of Black Shadows next week from BiG. 
To be honest, I would love to get a pair of BB-SBG also but that particular model fits differently from the BB-ODs and will not fit me at all.  I'm getting off topic though

I really don't know, but judging from the photograph, those on BiG site seem identical to those posted by dcg.
We will see…

I decided to buy a pair of Samurai because I needed a good Lee's repro.  I hope that Samurai are not as addictive as Iron Heart, but I suspect they are.

dont have any experience with the new denim but im sure its just as nice

anyone with direct experience comment on the shrink/stretch of the Sam jin denim? Have been debating about picking up a pair but they'd have to come from Japan so I'd rather not screw up sizing…. BiG suggests 2" waist shrink.

I only have a Jin jacket, but it is (was) unsanforized, and I have washed it. There doesn't seem to be much movement in it at all, but the denim is absolutely beautiful.

My lot 10 Jins are size 31; true waist is probably 32.5".  If I had it to do over again I'd have gone with size 32.  They've stretched, but it's been a long, painful process (and they shrink right back up whenever I wash them.)

Found these Samurai S0610LX Lot11(2008 Special) a month or so ago brand new without tags at a consignment shop. They have stretched out a lot. I might soak them again to make them fit better. They fit great when I got them.

Those are brilliant finn!  there's something about the remaining 'ghost' of the arcs that's really freaking cool.
