Haha thanks Cris. That's my favorite one of the day.

Thanks Rafa :)! 2nd one has a hardcore feeling to it imo and the kid is huge! Nice kid, but when he makes a serious face you don't want to mess with him hahaha! The filmscene is the look I was trying to achieve with most of the photos by making them wider and adding the black bars and giving them a certain color.

Cris, what a cute kid! Those were taken with the 24-70L as well?

Cool pic's ^^^, went back to a family get to together to unveil my Uncles headstone. This is at my mum's
Marae (a meeting place for the families to come together). The family grave yard is just up the road on a small hill.
This Marae is just outside of Cambridge close to Hamilton in the mighty Waikato NZ.Taken with my Pan GF 1, Im still a newbie when it comes to using it.
The dining hall
The meeting house
They drink this and and Waikato beer
I drank too many of these
It was a good night drinking with the relations, my Uncle george had his ole record player out playing oldie goldie records until he got kicked off and someone put their ipod thru the stereo.
Peace

I need a new compact camera, Canon S100 or Fuji X10? What do you think?
-
They were taken with my 7 years old Sony W5 and tuned with Picnik at Flickr. I think it´s time for a new one.

Man that looks like a kickarse drink, though… Nice pics!..
Cheers, there were 16 in the box, my brother brought the cans which were 8 % (I didnt drink any of those). I must of had about 6 of them plus some Lion Red beers over a space of 5 to 6 hours, gave some to the cousins. I went to bed early and some carried on till 5 am.
Then it was up to cook breakfast, we had leftovers from the hangi (a big underground oven that you cook, chickens - there were 40 chickens, pork, beef, all your veges, potatoes, kumara, stuffing. And its cooked underground for bout 5 hours, we had about 350 people to feed, this is a simple explaination), steak and eggs, baked beans, toast, mussle fritters and Coke or lemonade drink.
Steak n eggs, toast, baked beans, mussle fritters and Coke in the morning, ummm, breakfast of Champions, Not.
Then me, my younger bro, Dad drove back home, I slept most of the way.
Ahhh what a life…
Peace

If you are going to be spending upwards of $600ish I recommend checking out the Canon loyalty program. It is a legit program does where you purchase a refurbished camera then place an order (THROUGH THE PHONE!!!!), and then you get an additional 20% discount on the already low price refurbished cameras so you can get a pretty cheap DSLR. Then again I think this is for the US only. but if you know someone over here who can do it for you then you will be getting a nice deal.

AND…. I bought a Canon 7D last night
Really would have liked a 5D MK II but - I would rather wait until the 5D MK III is announced cause I would like a 5D MK III more so. I just hope Canon doesn't announce a 7D II before then otherwise mine will probably go down significantly in price although I did get it through the CLP so it only came out to ~$1200.

Have fun!
I'm eagerly awaiting the new mirrorless offerings from sony (the nex-7) and fuji (mystery camera in january/february).
