Unless you're actually wanting to use it on a boat. Sperry's patent siping soles have no equal for grip on wet surface.

I have a pair of Alden Indys and can't recommend these enough. Comfortable, sturdy, beautiful and well.. everything you need in an everyday shoe.

I have the boots, and I don't feel that they are restrictive for driving or any other activity, the heel/Achilles swoop make them sit quite tight and with a complete lack of heel-slippage.

My local Alden stockist JUST refreshed their Indy boots. I rushed over and had my pic of sizes. I typically wear a 10 or 10.5 in athletic shoes but downsized to a 9.5 with lightweight smart wool socks. I'm loving the boots but they are heavy!

I was quite amazed on how comfortable these boots are.  The leather is buttery soft and the commando sole is perfect for walking around the concrete jungle.  Color is pretty unique as well.

when you are a 10.5 in the barrie/trubal lasts then these will fit you (should be aberdeen i guess)

Well, the questions is what sort of shoe you have from Alden in 10.5 BD which fits you well. If you´d tell us, we´ll tell you if this pair above will fit you or may not

I´d take em (because they would fit me, i´am a 10.5 BD Barrie/Trubal so 11BD Aberdeen fits great as well) but I do think that a black cap toe has to be made of cordovan because I don´t like the small creases of calf. just my 2 cents.
