Hmm an age old, impossible question.

    Nas illmatic
    Ultramagnetic MCs Critical Beatdown
    Uniform Choice scream for change
    Ani Difranco imperfectly
    Kate Bush Sensual World

They all get weekly play on CD, and I haven't got bored yet. Been listening to all of them since years of release.

Eclectic. Can’t beat a bit of West Coast Straight Edge.

Great shit; Lucero just dropped a new one this week, great live band! Fugazi was absolutely formative for me. Their shows were so great. I really loved their label in general, lots of great bands on Dischord.

        Think it, be it.

While we're on the topic of Dischord - Glen E. Friedman is putting put a new book on Minor Threat, I'm really looking forward to that!

Lucero live used to be an amazing experience, the last few times I seen them was not so great. and the last few albums just don't speak to me.
              But that's life.
I got lucky and saw Fugazi at there last show in toronto back in like 99ish? Great show and Grade opened for that.

Last Lucero I saw was in Minneapolis at the Triple Rock in 2008. Rowdy crowd and they had them in the palm of their hand. I haven’t listened to them much since then but it was a terrific show.

I got to see Fugazi twice up close and personal, 1993, when my friend interviewed Ian before the show while I was in high school:

                And again in 1996:

@mclaincausey @natehate The "real" show I ever attended was Fugazi in Milwaukee in 93'. Before that it was just local punk rock bands.

I just turned 15 and unwisely "borrowed" my parents car, filled it with friends and saw Fugazi and Lungfish. It truly changed the course of who I was to become. That sounds a bit cheesy, but it is true. I had the fortune of seeing Fugazi a few other times, but nothing ever compared to that first one.

Lucero- I have probably seen Lucero more than any other band. They used to headline or open for what seemed to be every band that I wanted to see throught the early 2000's. I grew to love them. There last time they were at Red Rocks was my welcome back to music from the covid restrictions. It was special, as I forgot how powerful live music was for my soul after going without for sooo long. But it is true, they aren't nearly as rowdy as they were. Grown ups....pfft..

I should probably rank my Top 5 shows at some point. That first Fugazi show would have to be in there, but that is a tough other 4.....

I can totally relate to that. Started around the same time and age, and it never really went away.

So difficult to pin this down to 5. Like most people, if I got asked this question next week I would have a completely different set of answers:

                                  • Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison.
                                  • Bob Dylan - Desire.
                                  • David Bowie - Hunky Dory.
                                  • Jason Isbell - Live from Alabama.
                                  • Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here.

There is no 'I' in team …............ however there are five in 'individual brilliance'.
