In light of all of the heavy things that seem to be circling around the world these days I'd like to counter with a fun fact:
In Oregon, where i live, wetland management relies on strategically placed beaver dams at various times and locations.
To get the cooperation of the furry builders the local agencies responsible will send workers out to build purposefully shitty (aesthetically and functionally) dams.
Once built the local beavers see them, think "absolutely fucking not!", tear them down, and build proper dams in their place

I love them all but I "like" 25-50% of them depending on the day (it rotates as to which child has had the most meltdowns or elbowed me in the crotch that day)

We hit up 3 state parks along the coast this morning
