IH-803-indigo - Denim Herringbone Logger Pants
-
Had to do the shorts mod. These Texas summers ain’t no joke! I decided on an 8” inseam, and dusted off my rusty sewing skills.
-
@Go-For-Chill Very nice dude! What part of Texas are you in? I live south of Austin in Kyle.
-
@Danimal506 Nice! I know Kyle. We used to go through there on the way to New Braunfels and Corpus all the time. I’m in Fort Worth.
-
@hairydangler I love these. What do you call them? High waters? Capris? Shants?
-
@Go-For-Chill Nice!
-
@Go-For-Chill these are just amazing, great work!
-
@Go-For-Chill it could be an optical illusion…but the 803s look longer while you’re wearing them than in the picture where they’re laying flat…
-
@Mizmazzle You know, I thought the exact same thing, but yea, just an optical illusion.
I was originally going to make them a 6” inseam to match another pair of shorts I like, but the wife wisely suggested that the denim shorts should be just a touch longer, so 8” it was.
-
This 803 short conversion is too good not to get in on! Just snapped up a used pair on Ebay...thanks for the Q&A @Go-For-Chill
-
@Mizmazzle. They look good man. Don't look short to me
-
@Mizmazzle those look pretty damn good as pants.
-
@Mizmazzle I say don't chop them. they fit perfect as they are. rather look for another pair with a crazy short inseam on ebay or buyee - i see that all the time, 38 waist, 28 inseam. that would be an ideal candidate for the choppig block.
-
@Mizmazzle
absolutely agree with tody , don’t chop -
Well…it’s done. The lady I took em to for the hem job was a salty ol gal to say the least and I wasn’t sure what I’d get as she didn’t have much patience for me explaining the detailing I was after. All in all she did an “ok” job. I give Haraki all the credit for how cool they look.
I took cues from @Go-For-Chill on the double knee detailing.
Please excuse the sickly pale legs. -
@Mizmazzle turned out great! I’d be a happy camper
