Anyone have both the 14oz black and 21oz SBG that can compare the fabrics in terms of how well they breathe and how comfortable they are? I know 14oz is generally not as breathable as 21oz but curious if the dye method evens them out a bit.

In my experience the 14oz bb is softer and more comfortable than the 21oz sbg pairs I've had (both 555 in my case). That may be to do with the sizing my end but I scarcely wear my SBG in summer because they are too hot.

Sales 142bb well received. The fit is fantastic, thanks to @Graham and @AdamJ for the advices on sizing and hemming.
This would be my very first black denim !
The 888 fit is really great, enjoying my 888D since a few months and i'm very eager to fade those marvels.

So I just got my pair on 4/20, and have been wearing them everyday since. I went with a 32 waist as I've been struggling with my 31s in other cuts, but it looks like I messed up. These are just a little too baggy in the thighs and butt for me right now, and I think a 31 would have been perfect.
Is there any chance of getting some shrinkage with a hot soak or wash? I would hate to wash these so soon, but just not happy with the fit at the moment.

Hi @choco, i doubt they will shrink to more than what they where when you got them, but as you have been wearing them already would say give it a try with a hot wash and if you are not satisfied with the result sell them.

I would soak them first though before throwing them into the washer to avoid any streaks/marbling, especially in case you may need to sell them. Soak/wash inside out.

Can anyone who owns one of these confirm based on their own experience if the waist does indeed stretch approximately one inch as stated in the description?

@cityofdelusion Yes, they do. I've got the 555s from a previous run, and they gave about 1, feels like a little more IMO due to how soft the denim gets

@AdamJ Thank you! I placed my order. I feel like 14oz is underrated in the community. My 14oz indigo pair fits and feels great and I've recently started diverting from heavyweight denim more and more. I'm sure these will be just as good if not even better!

@AdamC @cityofdelusion I can only comfirm ! In addition lighter weight also means easier to wear on warmer days.

After only a week of wearing these, I can now confirm that these get softer and softer and more comfortable with each wear. They fit perfect and are so much nicer to wear than the 21oz SB (superblack non-fade) I own. Love them.

Moreover, I noticed that the texture of the denim is quite different than the indigo version of the 14oz denim: These have a neppier texture in most areas.

In the one week that I walked in these and did other physical activities, the waist thus far stretched by half an inch (= 1.27cm) compared to the initial waist measurement. To be fair, since it's only a week, I will update again in the near future regarding my last point.

@HalfPastNever Some pictures after approximately 50 wears and 1 wash. It difficult to get all the nuances in pictures but they just starting to evolve well.

Still considering them as one of my most comfortable denim so far. My 1st black denim and a really enjoy them, they are good with everything !
