I have one too and it has shrunk a little bit after one hot soak and one wash, but it’s not a huge difference.
-
Thanks for the info, looking forward to giving the shirt its first wash
-
@Galena418 Thanks for the info. As long as it will be re-run at some point definitely worth waiting for.
-
What are my options here? The sleeve opening is a bit too wide for me, though the rest of the shirt fits great so I want to keep it. My local tailor said he would have to cut the cuff and there would be seam, not ideal.
-
Soaking and washing would not do a lot. You could wash really hot (not my advice) and look if it shrinks a bit if rest of the shirt still has room. I personally would spray water on the sleeves to set some creases and live with it.
-
@aimes You could add two extra female snap button parts on the sleeves. Problem solved.
I think it was @denim-dawg who did this on a shirt if I remember correctly. -
@FlavourFade Hot water? How does that set creases?
-
@JunkPants Thats... a great idea.
-
@aimes no need to use hot water. You spray water on your sleeves and then just wear the shirt and set the creases while moving around
-
@aimes I agree, don't doubt the Dawg!
-
@aimes hey mate! Great shirt on ya! If the cuff is too wide, I put in an extra snap. Cheap and it stacks the arms like they were made of rainbows.

Thanks! Do you remember the piece of kit you used to do it? I'm guessing I need some special tools?
-
@aimes Hey mate! I carefully went to my trusty, local shoemaker, and he found the right match

I really love this shirt. This has been my first iron heart purchase. About 1 year of nearly daily wear - but during summer just for one to two hours a day. One wash. Still lots and lots of life in it.

@shp-7777 what is your desired fit? It's definitely on the looser end but doesn't look bad necessarily. This shirt is designed to be closer fitting to the body but many size up for comfort. Only potential snag may be the sleeves look baggy/roomy. Don't expect much shrinkage out for this one either.
Edit: also looks like it's on the longer side. Really dependent on your use case.

Another vote for too big.
