I gotcha, for some reason I can see that it just doesn't really jive.  same thing with viberg's engineers too imo… I think something about the very oval toe of those bucos lends itself to the track

I am always on the nickel-side of hardware, but when I see those buckles I dont care about the color.

Update on the buckle.  The prong (or tongue) is too large a gauge.  The frame is fanfeckintastic, so we are proceeding with the stamping, but we will put a finer wire prong on the production version.

Not Shell.  We will use the area between the shells and the fronts - it is called the "Strip".  This allows us to get nice thick horse, the fronts (FQHH) do not yield thick enough leather for booting.

I have heard this called the "butt" as well as the "strip."
