I love this jacket. This is pretty much what I've worn every day since I got it (with a parka over it since it's been so damn cold lately).

is this or the "standard" 526 softer…looking for a type III which I am able to wear, not which is wearing me! :-\

Gotta be the regular one.  This denim is way harder than the 21 oz stuff.

then i guess the 19oz SE is using for their modified typeIII od model is also harder than the 21oz denim, no?

What 19oz that SE is using?

But let's just put it this way, our 21oz is way softer than any other denim we make…

Thanks Sean.  But my answer above remains accurate:

I had that sexih07iii, the denim on that was seriously no joke.  Probably the gnarliest denim I've felt before (I don't have a lot of experience though), and even the 526j-od is noticeably more comfortable.  I'd bet the reg 526 would suit you well in the comfort department.

Tatman, did you get one of these? I think the measurements would work well for you. I've been wearing mine a lot. Lots of people keep asking me where I got it.

heavy flannel underneath easily ? Not sure if the L or XL is best for me .
