the sunflower pic has smooth, pleasant bokeh
but the 4th one (not sure, is that a grass or wheat?) bokeh is a bit harsh

all the photo terminology, going to have to start coming over here & see if i can get a schooling

bokeh generally = background blurriness / unfocus

see sunflower pic up there, "smooth" bokeh
some quality lenses optimized for smooth bokeh
though this is all very subjective

sometimes a lens will have a "sweet spot", a particular f stop that gives very nice bokeh

Very nice Finn…...and I have to agree with Jaco, the Bokeh on the Sunflowers is more soothing to the eye.

Until today, I had no idea what bokeh was, but now i feckin love it…

^ Oh yeah…it's lovely, also depending on what lens you use, the Bokeh becomes creamier and creamier, haha.  There's threads on Photog and Shoe Forums just for pics with Bokeh.
