the sunflower pic has smooth, pleasant bokeh
but the 4th one (not sure, is that a grass or wheat?) bokeh is a bit harsh

bokeh generally = background blurriness / unfocus

see sunflower pic up there, "smooth" bokeh
some quality lenses optimized for smooth bokeh
though this is all very subjective

sometimes a lens will have a "sweet spot", a particular f stop that gives very nice bokeh

Very nice Finn…...and I have to agree with Jaco, the Bokeh on the Sunflowers is more soothing to the eye.

^ Oh yeah…it's lovely, also depending on what lens you use, the Bokeh becomes creamier and creamier, haha.  There's threads on Photog and Shoe Forums just for pics with Bokeh.

anyway, yes you can get into bokeh talk
much the same as discussion of Japanese denim and fades etc
it can get deep...

^ Thanks Jaco…my last pic with the webs, I didn't even know what Bokeh was, I was just testing out a 50mm 1.8 on a crop body, and it came out pretty cool.

yap all the posts on this site are taking with the same lens (just have one btw !)…
yeah the background may be a bit harsh, but cuz the focus is just on the front, the back is totally blownout...

yeah might really have to do this :D…but as i hosted the pic i really didn`t see that the bokeh on the pic was so messed up.
just was watching the front part of the pic, where actually all the focus be on

Haha…....I didn't trip off that, good one, yeah, when my oldest was about 2, everytime I took a pic of her, she would do that.
