Took a small tour of the South including Corvette museum in Bowling Green, KY and Andrew Jackson's Hermitage in Nashville, TN. I think if I didn't live in the Midwest, this is where I'd want to be.

What I did last night, which I am now suffering for…..big time.

The top pic is a gig of an awful punk band that we wandered into. They were doing songs about the Taliban, fines imposed by the local council, how it's cool to be asian, cheap pastry products, people who wear sports wear, and sharing your last bit of money with your mates to buy booze…...it was like a band some 15 year olds would have formed :-\
They were all upper class school boys, feigning social outrage and anger....when they had finished their set I asked the singer if he needed a hug, as he appeared to be rather angry about a variety of subjects that if he took the time to educate himself about he might feel better. This just made him even angrier, maybe he could write another song

Spent most of the weekend on the shores of Lake Michigan.
Enjoying the chaos of South Haven, MI.
Only decent picture from friday. Moved 20 miles or so up the shore the next day saturday and camped out. Sunset was a little cloudy, but still beautiful…
We mostly just chilled and had a rip roarin good time around the excellent fire (that incidentally didn't make it into any pictures) my friend built…

Sometimes I forget how awesome Michigan is, but as soon as that happens a weekend like this just reminds me how lucky I am to live here. Now to get ready for classes to start again on Wednesday…
