After first wash / owned for 6 months

@Niney unfortunately I didn't measure before and after. So closest as I could do would be to go based off size chart for a before.

I soaked it in warm water for half hour or so, then threw it in a delicate cycle on hot in the wash, then into the dryer on medium heat. Though now that I think about it, probably no need for delicate if going through the abuse of a dryer.

My guesstimates of how it changed in fit...sleeves probably over an inch shorter, over all body length slightly shorter, body doesn't seem any tighter really, sleeves slightly less roomy.

If you want I could take some measurements of it now, I just don't have the before specs

First pic is before wash. Second pic after hot wash and dryer. Can really see how much the sleeves shortened--fully cuffed first pic to not cuffed after wash and dry and around the same amount of creasing.

Vests that are like a cross between 526SV and CPO. Snaps, collar (maybe corduroy), CPO length, internal pockets

More shirts like the 427--yokeless westerns. I like flaps on chest pockets. I enjoy the normal westerns too

I know they make the type 3 14oz ib. Don't know about other jackets off hand

OD definitely more muted fades and more of a black looking garment. IB will be higher contrast fades and way more blue. Starts out super dark but gets bluer and bluer with wash and wear. The OD can kind of go from black with greyish fades to dark blue looking to brighter blue fades depending on the light you are in (that perfect light makes it look more blue, while most the time it looks more black). I've had the 293 (for 6 months) and 14oz-ib pants for over a year for my reference.

Didn't measure before and after, but sleeves shortened up quite a bit and overall body length slightly, not any tighter in the body. Just what I was going for. Sleeves still a little long, but closer to my 3X IHSH sleeve lengths now (my 422 is 4X).

My first IH was 777S-21 from Self edge. Then down the rabbit hole from there. Before that I tried cheaper selvege--bravestar, unbranded, Gustin, Filson, and momotaro (which I loved the denim, hated the pink inseam and the cut wasn't for me). My first step into "nicer clothing" was PNW boots (for work in wildland fire), then some technical clothing (base layers, rain jackets, puffs) related to using for that line of work, then Filson.

@Jcaz6996 I know this is an old post, but how long have you had/worn this shirt in these pics and approx washes?

@hugothecowboy if it's from the wash and not wear, you could try soaking first next time then wash. Happened with my 777 21. The marks disappeared within the next wash or two and hasn't happened since then by soaking before wash

Ever consider a sleeve shortening service in house? Kind of like the hemming, but more $ because it is a lot more involved.

@Damocles I got 2" of stretch in the waist on these, but I think I tend to get more waist stretch then a lot of people (got a belly to exert waist stretch force). I got 1.5inch in 21oz. I would shoot for an inch smaller than you desire. Don't wear a belt until it's where you like it then use a belt.

IH DIY repair kits. Like some of the cloth you use to repair blow outs etc and a couple different thread colors you use when doing repairs. Maybe a little instructional advice thrown in. Be a cool little add on to buy when buying some jeans etc
