^ It's pretty weird because I can lurk and view all of the sub-forums except for the Iron Heart board..Why would they restrict just one sub-forum? Curiouser and curiouser..

I adjusted this as this was set wrong also.
Once again nothing personal. Hard to get good help these days.
Thanks for being our quality control.

Thanks for the info @winterland  🙂
Although I'm a lurker I've discovered loads of great information, and new brands, from your forum..great stuff!

You're are very welcome.  We are glad you found us. Feel free to join in and post.

Do the guys who who dump all over IHUK on "Selvedge and Style forum" still post here? I'm curious, because they make reference to a lot of the information posted in these pages…

Pretty sure I was just ip banned from the IH General Discussion thread…haha. OK?

      Perhaps not.
"We have forum set so Guests can only post in the Forum Help Board. We discovered a couple boards that allowed Guests to post, we just changed it. We want love our lurkers but want them to become members if they want to post."

      Read more: http://selvedgestyle.com/post/69662#ixzz3zGrIgl53

I did just adjust the settings of guests being able to post as a few of the boards were not setup correctly when made. I'll blame the other mods.
I didn't know about it as no guests had posted up until yours.

I'd love to read that, if it hasn't been deleted already.

I hope that you do more reading on the forum as I think you would feel better about it. We think it is a great place. If you have another view on a discussion join in as it sounds like you didn't agree with something you read.
Here is the interview with Giles.

They want to have a cluster fuck, that's fine by me.  What is not fine (by me), is that I went out of my way to explain Iron Heart and the way we work in an open, transparent and honest manner on their forum and I may as well have chewed my own testicles off, for all the good it seems to have done…..

They want me to do another interview?  I'm sharpening up some very pox ridden stakes.....

In my paradigm, the last thing you do is shit on a person who has done you a favour.  It's simply good manners....

I believe you have taken @Shoreman statement at face value.
Some members love Iron Heart, some like them, and some don't like them. Nothing more.
To even say "members who dump all over IHUK" is hyperbole.

I would say most members on our forum who were not into Iron Heart have now wanted to check them out because of all the great reviews from other members. We have many who did not like the Iron Heart concept at all. There are simply many people who don't spend that kind of money on clothes.
That is until they purchased an IH garment and then began raving. Some could even be called fanboys. 😉
Many are now loving Iron Heart that didn't and talking about them turning more members onto iron Heart.
      It is win win.

I don't read every post and of course there are a few who don't see the value as I mentioned and state their opinions. We don't moderate them unless they somehow get out of hand. It is their opinion.
It is not fair to take the opinions of a few members without considering the rest of the forum when passing judgement.

We are not a brand specific forum. We discuss many brands with varying opinions from members.
All you have to do is read the forum to see there is really only one brand that is really discussed with much dismay. The reason being they haven't delivered the goods. Literally.

I would never want our forum to be looked at on a whole as hating on any brand unless it really deserved it.

I say all this as I am wearing my IHXB01XRAW jeans.
      Peace!

I am not sure why you are starting up a problem that doesn't exist.
To answer your question there are many of our forum, I am the admin, that do lurk and post on the Iron Heart forum.
Do the couple members who don't see the value in Iron Heart's wares post here? I doubt it.

Looks like a great an anorak. Will be interesting to see how fire resistant it is if you are around any winter campfires.
I have had my eye out for an anorak also. People say they are one of the warmest ways to deal with cold weather.
Here is another maker to add to your list. I have been tempted to buy a few of their items.

Always associate Tears for Fears with the 80's of course and being in a shopping mall. As a good experience even. Great song.

Its funny I find many people always talk about 80's music negatively. Like most decades there is a good and there's bad. The end of the 80's here but were definitely part of the eighties sound. Wearing my Doc Martens today.

Have usually detested distortion pedals that say heavy metal or metal zone on them. Usually gets you the buzzing bee sound but I have found the heavy metal 2 to be quite usable for that 80's metal sound.
I have a early Boss CE-2 made in Japan chorus with metal screw. Serial number 201. My Japan
find. Japanese denim and guitar pedals. What a combination.

    • RE: Can we fix it,,,yes we fekkin can,,,its defibrilator time

I can understand all sides. Overall this forum provides a great wealth of knowledge. I frequent a few other forums and even help run one now. I can understand Mods and Admin letting loose once in a while as it takes more work than it looks like to keep things in order. Still I am comfortable in an atmosphere where everyone from the top on down is respectable.
No everything doesn't have to be PC but there is too much cynical, uncaring attitude going on in the world already.

I personally have directed many people to this forum and the IH wares. Some love it and others have felt uncomfortable. I feel that it can be an exclusive club here at times as I see newbie posts with no one responding. Like they aren't there. On the other hand these are isolated incidents. We know you can't please everyone either.

Nothing wrong with taking an outside look at hows things are going in the forum as I am sure everyone is busy trying to keep a business going and live our busy lives. I want to thank everyone who works on the forum for all the hard work. All the cool members too. This is an invaluable place.

    • RE: Gustin

Not trying to start drama or be disrespectful but I am curious.

I along with others have started out with cheaper Selvedge brands and found about higher end brands, Iron Heart, Roy etc from that start. I have seen @4c spreading the word and saying great things about Iron Heart on other forums myself.

Seems unfair for some to be hostile against a brand that does obviously have some fans.
There are many other brands talked about on here.

I know many who started with a Gustin purchase and now are buying Iron Heart and others as part of the journey. Can't all the brands get along.

      Why the hate?
