@Whiteshadow49 thanks for the trickers and the smooth transaction.

RE: Runners
@den1mhead nice one, I'm mainly a cyclist but I've done the Bristol 10km a few times for Dorothy House. Gotta work on getting used to the extra distance! This time it'll be for Mercy in Action.

RE: Runners
Someone in my family has started working for a charity, so I've been roped into running the Bath half marathon…

RE: IHM-10 - N1 Deck Jacket - 2015 Edition
Mine's now been across France and Spain with me as well as through torrential UK weather.. Only once has water come through the pocket edge. Otherwise completely dry and warm. It's totally broken in now and so it's not as snug but it's just about right all round. I have a bit of indigo evo on the inner edge too.

5'11" and a smidge
A hair over 40" chestThe fit is pretty much exact in the shoulder and sleeves which is probably where the 'fit' comes in just so. If I wear a jumper (not that I need to) or anything more than a thick shirt it gets snug all round.
The sleeves in the XL were just way too long, everything else was fine for a layer fit.

I'll have a look, but I have zero belief that these pudgy fingers can do a good job of it..

One of my placket buttons is starting to come away.. Can anyone recommend a repair place in Bristol or the SW who they'd trust to fix up IH gear?

Pushing money around so I can cop this. Lunch time might be a low point of my day for a few weeks..

RE: Red Wing Shoes
Quite like the collab pair but holding out for a brown waxed pair as I like how it 'breaks through' blacked wax.
I had a pair of IR 8111s for a while and sold them as I had bought too large a pair.
I now have a pair of the 8105 Oxford Mocs (roughout oxford = yum) and these 2974s:
Which are an unusual leather I can't seem to recall, and as discontinued boots there's little info on em. They have a faint nap to them but they're for all intents a smooth leather.. described on Rakuten as 'black nubuck' but that doesn't quite cut it.. Really strange, but I got 'em for a steal! Still to work out exactly how to care for them.

If you haven't mailed the XL back I will buy it! And Gil if you read this I would like to buy this XL if it's returned, thanks
Eep, sorry mate it's already dropped off at the DPD point.
Hope Giles will earmark it for you.

RE: IHM-10 - N1 Deck Jacket - 2015 Edition
Thanks all for your feedback. I've sent the XL back.
@Finkster That looks superb.. I have to find one now.
One little question - the leather zip pull on mine is a bit dry, has anyone nourished theirs?

RE: IHM-10 - N1 Deck Jacket - 2015 Edition
So comparing the XL and the L today as I had a bit of time to mull it over..I can layer better in the XL (jumpers etc if required) but the sleeves are way too long and material is bunched at my bicep. The L still sits on jean pocket level and is otherwise much more fitted. Hurm! I'm sending one back tomorrow and I'm leaning towards the L but experiencing last minute doubt (read: all weekend decision!)

Inbound…
IHSW-23 - Heavy Sweat Pullover Hoody
Are there a range of colours? Either way, awesome!

RE: IHM-10 - N1 Deck Jacket - 2015 Edition
That looks awesome.
I just got the last size L khaki to compare against my XL, have to wait 'til I get home to try it out with layers though. Man I love these jackets.
Also big thanks to Giles for putting up with all my annoying Qs..

RE: Introduce Yourself Here
Montpelier is boss. Cadbury House still there?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just around the corner. I used to work for a guy who knew the lot at Wickwar (who may still run the Cadbury indirectly IIRC) and it's not a bad pub by any measure.
Hi Veeoh. Lived in Bristol for about 20 years but now in Keynsham
Keynsham's getting close to being popular! I had a look when I was moving, but I do like to be in the thick of it.
Maybe next year
