How do you guys find that these fit? I’m borderline XXL and XL in a type 3, though I do prefer a snug fit. I missed out on buying from IH direct due to my hesitation, so I’ll be picking it up from another retailer.
My hesitation was over going for a L or XL
@Alex appreciate that, our builds sound quite similar in that regard. Unfortunately most of my heft is around my waist 
Bit of advice on sizing if you wouldn’t mind.
6ft 4, 95KG.. typically wear an XL in western cuts (IHSH-218-BLK), or 44 in the regular fit Type III (IB)
I’d only be layering with a Tshirt/shirt, I’m on the fence here between a Large or XL, wondering how much I should factor in the added bulk, the lining is deterring me going off measurements alone

@Mizmazzle I’m one of the few that likes to wear an insole in their 8 last boots so I buy as per my brannock sizing. I picked up a pair of blacksmiths in R&T copper.
With regards to the 8138, I bought an pair around 15 years ago and in all honesty, I ended up selling them a couple of years ago because I think the traction tread is awful. I was wearing through two soles a year!
Granted I didn’t have much by way of a rotation back then.
@Mizmazzle these are a UK 11, funny story but all my trainers/sneakers are 11. Measured up in a brannock for a pair of red wings about a year ago and I’m actually a 10.. seems I’ve been wearing shoes all my adult life a size too big.. I do have a crazy high arch so some shoes 10, some 11 depending on the width. I could probably get away with a 10.5 in these.

I head in a couple of times every week as I still work there, however Leeds is probably that bit closer to me now. I’m pretty much in between the two, my family and mates are all still over the Manchester side.
I ended up in Yorkshire having got in to cycling in a big way around lock down and I lived in Saddleworth at the time. I’ve lived in Bolton, Didsbury, Chorlton, Uppermill over the last 15 years.. then bought a house in Yorkshire! Money seems to go a lot further this side of the Pennines for houses, and more cow sh-t, less people.
Another favourite pair are my OG Vault colab with Nigel Cabourn. 50/50 Indigo dyed herringbone and denim vamp. Like breaking in a pair of iron rangers.
Of all the recent/new releases, the mid MTE Destruct is a solid fave of mine. So comfortable and particularly awesome for winter.

@T4920 a pair of the 14oz 888s in double indigo was my first item.
The 1955 cut is probably my favourite though; was lucky enough to snag a pair when they restocked a couple of weeks ago.
In that time I’ve picked up a few shirts and overshirts.
