Big Fan here...or used to be. The company in it's present state is a shell of what it used to be. After the company was sold to Amer Sports, outsourcing and greed has led to poor quality and higher prices. That being said, I do own quite a few pieces-Alpha SV, Beta LT, Firebee, Thorsen, Thorium Parka, Cerium, a few Atoms and coverts, Delta LTs. The Thorium Parka and Thorsen are my winter go to's. Atoms for the Fall. For extreme cold, I'll use the Firebee or Alpha SV/Cerium combo.

@Brunell I wear an 8.5D in iron rangers 9D in the Red Wing 875 and 8.5D in Jobmasters. I own a few Jobmasters and find the ones with a softsole/Christy sole fit a touch wider vs lug soles or VBar soles.

@sweetlou Look up Taion. They're dirt cheap. Made of down. Fitted. Fits perfectly under a type 2.

I'm 5'8, 165-170lbs. I wear a size M in most IH shirts/flannels. I have the Y'2 KB 140 in a size 38. I mostly wear just a tshirt or thin sweater underneath. It is a slim fitting jacket and the leather is stiff at first, but softens over time. It's also a shorter jacket that just hits me below the belt line.

I have a Double Helix Western Pioneer in a size 40. I would say that a size 40 is my true size. I can fit a hoodie underneath and find it easier to move around in. Mind you, the leather is super stiff on both jackets and takes time to break in.

Unfortunately, it would probably more hassle to return it than anything (came from Japan) so it’s probably going to find its way to the trash. Lesson learned though!

I've been scammed twice on ebay.  Both times, I was able to get my money back without returning the item…as long as paypal was used.  When you submit a claim, the seller has to plead their case to paypal.  Both times the seller never responded and I got my money back within a week or two.

I've been eyeing some of these boots, but I don't have any experience with Wesco. I have some Redwing 875 and like the wider fit in those. Does anyone have any input how these compare, last wise? Think I would want to stock with the same size?

@Crease I'm a 9D in in the 875s and 8.5D in Iron Rangers.  I went with an 8.5D on the Mister Lou's and fit me perfectly.  I find the 875s roomy in the toe box.  If you like the width of the 875s then I would recommend an E width on the Wescos.

@atm23 I have a few wescos I bought prior to the pandemic started and wait time back then was only 6 months.  I have a pair of White’s Big Shooters from SOP.  Hands down most comfy boot I own.
