Finally got my grail boots! John Lofgren combats in olive cxl. Walked 2 miles to my studio…so far so good!

Here’s the specs I as best as I can remember:

Zerrows Boneakers OD Black Horsehide with Vibram wedge sole. I had a thin solid vibram sole added when i re-soled them since I burn through the soft wedge soles rather quickly…It really helped!

Took my indigo to Berlin. Loved the city!

3rd year with my Zerrows Boneakers…resoled once. Gotta say they’re my most comfortable boots.

My Double Helix custom Type 3 arrived this week. Really happy with the fit, and break in doesn’t seem too bad. It’s a little lighter than my Y2 type 2.

Breaking in the Boneakers. The sole is soft, but the leather is stiff! Pretty comfy though..planning on wearing them on an upcoming trip to Berlin

Snow day in Brooklyn so I broke out my old red wing moc toe. These were my first pair of real boots 12 years ago… a gateway drug for sure!

After burning through 4 Bodum grinders I finally upgraded to the Barazza Encore. It’s great! Makes the Bodum seem like a kids toy. I’m sure there’s even better grinders out there than the Encore, but it makes my day
