I am currently a 37” waist. Would I be better off grabbing the size 36 (waist measures 35.2) and hope I can get some good stretch or should I grab size 38 (waist measures 37.7). Understand these are twisted weft so I’m not sure how that affects stretch potential.

I’m a 37” waist and I got these in a 36 hoping it would stretch a bit. It’s super tight at first in the waist, everywhere else is great. They don’t seem to stretch too much, so either I slim down or size up. Although I do go with the 38 in the 666 and 555s as in those cuts the 36 is too small all around.

It’s weird though because I do have some older Iron Hearts in a 888OD and 305s? where the 36 fits great.

I'll take those IH888 in the 36

I had a chance to try one on before buying, it definitely is sized different than previous westerns. I'm usually a 3 or 4XL in the westerns, but based on measurements this shirt would be a 2XL for me. It would have fit exactly the same but for the armholes. Like most IH shirts the armholes are extremely high, so unless you're a skinny dude the armpits will be very tight. In order for this shirt to fit me I'd need a 4XL but then the arms are too long and the waist is too big so I'd have to do a few alterations.

It's a beautiful shirt, but the biggest issue for me is the high armholes. If you have any sort of shoulder and arm size this will be extremely tight in the armpit area so you'd have to stick with your normal size. If you're a skinny dude then you could for sure size down and it would fit very nicely.

The measurements they provide are all bang on, so you can trust the measurements like they say. However, the one measurement that I would find helpful would be the size of the armhole at the shoulder. That would allow me to determine if it would be a tight fit.

I usually go 3 or 4XL in the westerns, but based on the measurements I ordered a 2XL. Hope it fits because I'm similar size at 6' and 220. Guess I'll see pretty quick. I did a pretty thorough measuring exercise with all my current shirts so I'm hoping the 2XL works. It appears to be similar to most of my current 3XL's from what I measured.

Picked mine up and love it, it's a little lighter than my N1 but perfect for our current fall weather. The only thing it's missing is an inside pocket where I can put my phone, but it looks easy enough to have one added on. As a bonus the wife really liked it, even though she's the one who always reminds me I don't need any more jackets!

As if I needed another jacket...so I'll end up getting one anyways haha. I'm going to wait for it to arrive at my Stockist so I can try it on and get one that I like the fit with. Pretty excited because this looks like another great coat.

I went with black, but maybe down the road I'll go with the olive if the black ages like I'm hoping it will.

But what a shirt! Think how long this will last you, and that it will look better and better the more you wear it and the more it ages. Plus it's not really something you see a lot of other people wearing around.

Not that I'm trying to convince anyone.

Got my 3XL, the only hard part was deciding between the black or olive...and before someone says just get both - not sure the wife would be super thrilled about that idea lol.

Got mine, absolutely love it. This thing is even better than I had hoped although I did size up from my usual sizes so that I could layer underneath it.

The only thing it's missing is a pocket on the inside where I can put my phone. Something like what's on the leather Type III would be nice, but I'll just take it to my tailor and have him add one on the inside. Otherwise this thing is bang on!

I thought it looked like moleskin as well when I first saw it. I really loved the feel and actually thought about getting both colors, although in the end I went with the charcoal as I already have a few green westerns. It's a really nice shirt, not as heavy as the flannels but still a substantial feel to it. It's fast becoming a favorite of mine.

Looks great! It's pretty tempting but I'm waiting for a black in XXXL.

I've never bothered to look too closely, but I've had a number of my IH shirts altered to have the sleeves shortened before and you wouldn't ever be able to notice. I find that it's worth it, especially if you pay this much for the shirt you may as well go the extra bit to have it fit nicely.

Ideally I wouldn't need this done, but things are always going to fit everyone a little differently. I'm just very particular about fit so this is what works best for me.

This shirt looks better in person than in pics! I sized up and sent mine to my tailor to shorten the sleeves, looking forward to getting it back as fall is setting in.

Are these brass snaps compatible with the IHSH-305-BLK 13oz Heavy Solid Flannel CPO shirt? I have one but I'd love to change out the buttons with these brass snaps instead.

That's soon enough for me! I'll check the appropriate measurements and maybe get in contact with you to try and secure one whenever they do become available.
