Was initially thinking about grabbing the 666 OD slub, but now I think the 21oz OD might be better since colder months are coming soon. I guess the measurements will ultimately be the deciding factor.

Just received the Reebok × TCB jeans CLUB C 85 VINTAGE "50’s Denim Edition" collab shoes. The upper incorporates TCB's 50's model denim. Some other details include a copper rivet on the heel and a paper patch stitched to the tongue. Cool shoes, but I wish it incorporated more denim. Not complaining though as they weren't very expensive.

@Chibs I think you will love the slubs. I have most of the colors and hadn't bought any for a few years since there weren't many new colors. After seeing the recent posts here I checked to see what was new to me and ended up buying three more (steel gray, navy purple, and coffee). I gotta stop checking the forum. 😆

    • RE: IHSH-409-IB - 19oz Selvedge Denim CPO Shirt - Indigo/Black

@hugothecowboy I bought a large and mine is like this too. I don't mind though. What I noticed after reading your post and looking at mine is that the shorter side is most likely the result of less fabric being used on that side of the shirt. If you measure from the side seam to the end of the placket and then do the same (at the same point in the shirt from the other side), the side with the pocket closer to the placket is shorter in length (in terms of the width). This is why there is a discrepancy in distance from the placket while the distance to the sleeve seem is about the same. So I think this might be a mistake on the pattern and how the fabric was cut. Not sure if all larges are like this since this is only a sample size of two.

I know this explanation probably doesn't matter to you and if you are unhappy then you should return it. I thought I would just share my observations in case anyone else was confused about what is going on or why this is happening.

    • RE: The Shop Vancouver

Just received my anniversary shirt. Normally an IH medium but those sold out immediately, so I grabbed a large since TJ said these fit on the smaller side. Shoulders could be dialed in a little but they don't look all that different than some of the fit pics here. Sleeve length is long as expected, folding the cuff back just half solves that. Not all that much larger on me than some of my mediums. Giving it a hot soak/wash and might throw it in the dryer as well just to see where it lands. Looking forward to beating the shit out of this.

@GeorgieL I'm about 5'8" 150lb. I'm wearing mine as a jacket though and have room to spare. If you are wearing yours as a shirt then I think you are probably fine.

Just received mine. I sized up to a large (normally a medium) to wear as a jacket. Tried it on over a UES heavyweight flannel. Fit is perfect. Shoulders are spot on, sleeve length is just right, not too tight in the pits or sleeves. Can button it up no problem. Doesn't fit tight but doesn't look oversized either. Also the fabric is gorgeous. Very different than my 295-IB. Only fabric that equals it to me is the Samurai Jeans 25th Anniversary 17oz "Ai-Shogun" denim jacket that I have. Really happy with this one.

Initially mine was Tuesday delivery next week and updated to Friday this week. Got the email from UPS for duties and the email said I owe $54 and when I went to pay the amount had changed to $42. Not complaining but I found that kinda weird.

If you missed out here, BlackBlue, Iron Shop Provisions and Franklin and Poe have most if not all sizes still in stock.

Glad I went for a large. There seems to be decent stock on those. I was worried though as the hype on this one is huge.

Grabbed a large. Medium (my usual size) sold out instantly. TJ said these run a little small and also that he got some good shrink from a hot wash and dry. Hopefully it works out.

    • RE: The Shop Vancouver

Just saw the most recent instagram video as well. Seems like they may go up today. My guess is they will release online this weekend sometime. He also mentioned that 13 of the shirts will have a GOOD ART HLYWD top button (the one he showed looked like the cats eye one). He said whoever gets them will be random and you can't ask for it.

I'm liking the measurements. Size large it is. I hope I am able to get one. I plan on being ready at release time.

    • RE: Wonder Looper

I assume most of you are on Wonder Looper's email list but just in case you aren't, they are offering a 10% discount this weekend. Use code "Summer 10" at checkout. They don't have a lot in stock right now, but there seems to be decent stock of the double heavyweight tees and the foxfibre tees. Also, if you live in the US the tariffs for Japan dropped about 10% (from 26.5% to 16.5%). I grabbed a foxfibre iron mordant tee myself and it was still cheaper (even with shipping and tariffs) than US retailers' prices.

    • RE: Samurai Jeans

For those of you that wanted but missed out on the heavyweight natural indigo and kakishibu dyed zip hoodie that released earlier this year, Self Edge just re-stocked them (S-XXL). From their email they said Samurai made a batch just for them, so I don't think others will be getting these and not sure if Samurai will bring this item back again.

To loosen up the button holes I've always just used the cap end of a Sharpie marker and wiggle it around. Has worked perfectly for me.

@Goz The back rise shrinkage was .35". So in line with what others have reported and not more than .5". My front rise shrank about .3". So the rise doesn't shrink all that much.

Followed the instructions. Hot soak for about an hour. Drip dry and then machine wash no spin. Then drip dry again. Shrunk up nicely. Will probably do one more machine wash for more agitation in case there is more shrinkage since I have room to spare. Will also throw in my pair of 666 xhs ib since I only hot soaked those and they would probably benefit from some agitation to remove any remaining shrinkage.

It really is beautiful denim. I had the same reaction when I opened the package.
