Went to see this beast.

I love making pickled peppers, red onions or other vegetables much like the recipe @goosehd shared. They're so easy and taste great. Lactic fermentations like sauerkraut, deli pickles and hot sauce are also fairly easy and can produce great results. I've been a homebrewer for a long time, though raising a family has put a halt to that for the last few years. I had gotten into easy drinking lagers the last few years, but I still liked to get a big imperial stout or barleywine in the mix now and then . I tried one mixed fermentation beer, but it didn't get all that funky or sour. It's actually still in the carboy after (too many) years. I should probably pull a sample and try it!
It looks like Withered Fig carried the last delivery. There are fit photos.
I got a pair through a pre order with Iron Shop Provisions which were delivered this past fall. I dedicated this past season to some other pairs, but they are a beast. This coming winter will be their turn...
@Luijim78 how do you like the Richmond? Is the leather a deep black or more of a very dark brown? I can't decide between the Richmond and their Type 2 Virginia Beach...
Three more cheers for @Clint_D! Always smooth and easy!
I'd love to see more vests like the IHV-02. 21oz would be incredible, but I know heavy ounce production is a real challenge, especially for what I suspect is a lower interest item. 14oz would still be great though. Maybe even whipcord or a herringbone fabric...
Does anyone have a UES body bag (love that name
)? If so, how do you like it? I'm torn between one of these UES bags or an Iron Heart waist bag.

More kudos for @Bums_Fan Great experience!
Getting some wear on this again.

Soooo, how about the denim? From the photos it looks like 18oz vintage with more slub and even more cross hatching. Maybe a bit more weft showing on the face.
Keeping the dream alive!

The lighting on these makes it look like there's a whole lot more happening than there is, but I'm still surprised to see anything evolving at all considering the limited wear it's had.

Not dumb at all IMO. It won't ruin the denim or the fades, but I don't know how much it will tame any crocking. I did a blazing hot hand soak of my pair before wearing to squeeze out some shrink, and they still leave indigo in the usual places, shoes, hem of shirts, jackets, etc. They still evolve just fine after some wear.
I've been wearing mine a bit more now that it's warming up where I live. Nothing too photo worthy happening just yet, but it's shedding more indigo than I would have expected for the limited wear I've put on it.
@Bridger Sorry, I missed this somehow. I'm in SE Pennsylvania. Just a t shirt and sweatshirt underneath. Basic stuff, not IH. This jacket is no joke!
Whenever I see a thread for an older item pop up, I think "what great piece is @Aetas sharing today?" You never disappoint!
If you are happy with the rest of the fit, you could always unbotton the sleeves and roll them up. That's what I do with my 101J, which is probably a size bigger than I need. I wear it in the winter over heavier layers, so it works out for my use.
Enjoy @Sicktight_311 and my thanks to @Kirk and @Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot for recent silky smooth dealings. Truly champ and mint!
