What should I expect in terms of shrinkage on this denim? I have a new pair and was wondering if a hot soak might tighten them up slightly?

What do you think the shrinkage will be like on this denim? Has anyone soaked theirs yet?

Yes I was very careful to keep a close eye on this. I think the UHR is pretty indestructible though!

They are a tag 35 and now they measure 38.5!

So I soaked my pair after 6 weeks wear in June and put them away for the summer months. When I got them out this week (as the UK summer summer seems to be over in Manchester ) the waist was SUPER snug, uncomfortable. I have been enjoying a lot of pizza and red wine over the last few weeks! Anyway I bought a wooden waist stretcher from Amazon for £22. I figured the £22 was well worth the risk of it worked. So I wet the top block and with the help of a wrench I have successfully stretched them out about 3 inches!! Now they are really comfy again. Thought I’d share in case anyone else is in the same position.

Thanks! Yes I’m thinking the same. Will probably be better slightly big before soaking. Too small is horrible and slightly bigger is often much appreciated with heavyweight denim!

Hi guys, would you say to size up or down from the 555-01? Do they have an easier break in than the 25oz denim?

Flash is right. The denim on the 66XX weighs about 14-14.5 oz whereas the standard 66 model weighs 13oz.
The 66XX aslo has a leather patch (but is still only printed with '66').

From what I know (although I'm not so well versed with the newish Denime) the 66XX and 66 also have different cuts. The 66XX has a lower rise and slimmer.

In the old time under Shins, Orizzonti both cuts were the same

What's the difference between the Lot 66 and the 66XX please? Any idea?
