That’s also what I would recommend… wear it as much as possible. It’s rather stiff and boxy in the beginning but starts to conform to your body shape as well as it develops folds, rolls and wrinkles at the right places.
Plus you have enough room for layering with UHFs and IHW-01s...

    • RE: BS-10 - GOOD ART HLYWD Model 10 Bracelet

Also got myself an old version. And yes, the new clasp offers more flexibility with respect to turning it up- and downwards. I think the old version was connected to a normal chain link whereas the new clasp is connected to a dedicated chain link.

Model A… simply great stuff  😉

    • RE: Who makes the best waxed cotton jacket?

      +1 for Ship John!
Built like a tank and most propably the most sturdy jacket on the planet.
Dehen also makes decent waxed field and club jackets.

    • RE: IHSH-62-BLK - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Black

      yes, of course!  😉
But getting things from the US into Germany always adds a significant amount to the price tag.
In addition, I sold a jacket to a nice guy in the US via this forum 4 weeks ago. It‘s still on its way, half the time in the US… USPS. Maybe a single „S“ makes the big difference...  😶

      800 import threshold?
Wow, that’s great! I think the threshold for Germany is 50 Euros or so for VAT and 150 for customs…  😢

    • RE: Why do Iron Heart Shirts Hems Roll Upwards and Outwards?

      jep, material thickness certainly matters!
I also have shirts of also substantial thickness in which the hem is „countered“ by a seam band sewn from the other side. This seems to avoid the roll-up…

    • RE: Why do Iron Heart Shirts Hems Roll Upwards and Outwards?

that corresponds to what I found.
So it should be a general issue with folded curved hems…

With my shirts it’s also mor pronounced on the heavier twills and denims. The chambray is rather flat…

    • RE: IHSH-62-BLK - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Black

Found a more general explanation in the web:

„ Roping is indicative of uneven feeding into the folder or even if the hem is turned by hand. If the hemmed edge is round rather than straight, roping is more common because the bottom of the hem edge is actually wider (longer) at the hem fold line than at the stitch line, causing the hem to flip up.“

Don‘t know if this applies to the IH manufacturing process but sounds sound to me…

    • RE: IHSH-62-BLK - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Black

Hmm… I have the same sort of stitching on other HD-shirts and the hem remains flat...
The „roll“ also extends the stitching and goes further up beyond the stitiching area...
Maybe the fibres get stretched in the stitching process and this causes them shrinking back and, thus, rolling up?

why does the bottom hem always roll up on these (and almost all other IHSHs)?

Anybody pimped this with brass snaps yet?
Planning to change to brass cymbal snaps on this and I wonder how it may look like…

yep, the sleeves will shorten due to stacking. In my case by about almost an inch.
SJ runs a size larger than IH. The measurements given on the website are quite accurate. I said „quite“ since there are some variations due to the hand patterning going on there…

Yes, the gloves are great! Got mine in the mail last week.
Always good to hear that an increasing amount of SJ stuff makes it to Germany  😎
