Curious how many of you all polish your silver?
Do you:
Fully polish?
Fully patina?
Lightly polish, keeping some dark antiquing as contrast?

@truby I love it. With the snap ring it's like a more badass glasses loop.
Killin' it, Chibs! Way to put yourself out there, and great content!
@goosehd said in My guide on Iron Heart + SEXIH25CPO-OD:
Still not as bad as Rolex and all of the stupid nicknames people give to the different models. TBH it kind of puts me off to the entire brand.
Saying pepsi is way easier and more fun than saying 126710BLRO
@Mizmazzle They are perfect!! What length did you wind up going with?
@Johnnyutah247 I’m at 10 in sneakers. I take a 9m/43 standard width in Arizonas.
I like my foot to fit snugly into the footbed and the leather vamp to be tight. The leather starts snug but stretches a lot, so I usually wind up tightening the strap after the first couple of weeks.
@Chibs That’s a great example of why we all prefer companies with good customer service over ones that do everything “perfectly.”
Yours does look pretty damn amazing! I’m jealous. I’ve been wanting the 4A version for a long time.
For the most part leather is leather. Alligator doesn’t need anything special. I use the neatsfoot oil from redwing on my gator boots. I’ve also used mink oil. Obenauf's should be fine, but it’s wax based. Personally I try not to add any wax to my leather unless I’m purposefully trying to waterproof it. Wax clogs the pores which makes the leather less breathable and makes it feel hotter to wear. I also believe it’s better for the leather to let it breathe. But that’s just my opinion.
@Oaktavia Broooooooo! These are wild!! Hornback gator tail is my guess? Keep them puppies well conditioned.
Couldn't agree more. It's a perfect mix of a comfortable-from-the-start shirt that also feels substantial and rugged. On day one it feels like your most well broken in denim shirt. I actually starched the heck out of the collar just to give it some structure.
@Chibs Congrats! Looks great, and always nice to hear about solid customer service!
My understanding with all GAH bracelets is that the measurements are supposed to be your actual wrist measurements, not the size you would like your bracelet to be. The needed additional length for appropriate droop is factored in by GAH. This is why their product pages list measurements as "wrist size" and not bracelet size. You could translate this as "choose this size if you have a 17cm wrist."
@ShopatIronHeart I'm debating these. Is there ANY chance we might see an XHS 1955 in the next year? If so, that would factor in heavily. The 888 is my next best fit after the 1955, but my calves struggle with the taper.
I think the dress looks white and gold...
Day 2 in the 812 coming to you straight from the garden.
I needed a place to store my shovels and hoes but have very little space. Introducing the garden closet! Shallow and wide to fit the space. I built it to match my 1920s Craftsman-style house. Doors coming soon.
@SamD His future is so bright, he requires sunglasses when awake, and has to sleep with a face mask.
I believe history will remember PIN as the underdog champion of the 420s.
If ever there were a more perfect outfit for black and white, idk what it would be.
ReLove 812 I scored off the last drop! I had no idea how good these were until I got ‘em in hand. Wow! Today’s high was 92° and I’m right as rain. In person, the warm silver tone of the sterling snap (thanks, UK crew!) against the creamy white hue of the herringbone is…. I believe the Italian word for it is 🤌.
