Rodeo day 2, but my first day with the 633 XHS. This 25oz is no joke! Took them out of the box, threw them on, and headed out of the door.
Also day 1 with the IHSH-246 natural. Shoutout to Self Edge for having 1 random xxl in stock. The brighter blue color is gorgeous! Might should’ve waited for an XL. Oh well.
One of my favorite spots on earth. Terlingua, TX. Just outside of Big Bend National Park. This is a yurt the wife and I enjoy staying at when we need to unplug. This area has one of, if not the, darkest sky in the US. I happened to catch this shooting star one night.
The silky boys. Unfortunately lost the little one in my lap a few months ago.
Here are my daily drivers from Morris Boot Co, in Fort Worth Texas. It’s a really great little one-man shop.
The owner/maker takes extra pride in his stitching work. When I went in to get measured, he spent at least 30 minutes showing me all of his current work and would always fawn over the cleanliness of the stitching. He even took me back into his work area and demoed his Landis sole stitcher like a kid with his favorite toy. He had a 1” stack of veg tan that he stitched through just to show off. lol
I had him make these with American alligator. The highest grade gator skins have a very straight and consistent pattern to the scales. I wanted more character, so I found this “lower grade” skin that love and saved some cash!
805s from ReLove and the new natural veg tan field jacket from Master Supply.
Honorable mention to the old Nike X N7 X Pendleton Air Force 1s.
This thread got me looking at old photos. Fifteen years back, double denimed up, out riding Texas back roads with my dad. He snapped the photo.
I humbly volunteer to test discount codes in the checkout process.
I propose we start with 80% and work our way down to 10% in Increments of 10. We must test all possibilities for the good of the customer.
My daily setup. I work them all plenty hard, and take care of them just the same.
Japanese indigo hand dyed croc. Not mine, but I saw these at the Fort Worth Stock Show last week. Made by Way Out West. The wife got worried for the bank account until we learned that there are no more skins available.
I’d love to have a wallet made out of this stuff. Might have to bust out my leather working tools.
Two memories I’ll never forget. Ordering and picking up my custom stick from Ole (pronounced Oh-Lee. Aka, Bob Olson). At the time it was believed that he was the oldest working shaper in the world and his shop was a few blocks from my house in Lahaina, HI.

@neph93 and the search didnt work...
This whole time I thought that was just me. I feel so vindicated.
@WhiskeySandwich
Don’t know if this helps, but here are my 10d 8833s next to my 9.5ee 1907s. Weirdly, on the 10d my big toe sits almost dead center of the toe box, but on the 9.5ee it’s exactly where it should be.
Most of the NB collection. At what point does an interest become a problem?
@jordanscollected That gives me a great idea. I might start having the wife hold my chainstitch runoff instead of my out-turned pocket while we are walking in public. “Hold my chainstitch!”
My wife told me that the less natural, ultra contrast fades remind her of the Affliction era of men’s fashion, and has also called it “very Jersey Shore.”
Just got done refinishing my 100 year old oak floors and added some walnut inlay around the edges. We’re almost done with a total remodel.
